He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Sanders Sr. and Nanette Hardin Johnson; his aunt Eunice Wheeler; and his sibling Anson "Speedy" Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Williams; his son Derrick Maurice Sanders Sr. Ronnie; his siblings, Elise Sanders, Michael Sanders, Jeanine Johnson, Teresa Sanders, Willam Sanders Jr., Regina Gainer (Anthony), Adora Robinson and Monic Sanders; and his great grandchildren, Gracie Sanders, Derrick Sanders III and Kailani Helen Sanders.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O. L. Hughes and Sons Mortuary (322 E Third St, Lexington, KY 40508). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
