He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Peniston and Edward Peniston. He is survived by: his wife Mary Peniston; his children, Rebekah Peniston, Brian Peniston (Clay) and Christopher Peniston (Kelly); his sister Patricia Lane; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Peniston, Christian Peniston, David Peniston, Matthew Peniston and Ashton Peniston.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Peniston's honor to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
