He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Dixon and Maude Hazel Dixon; his son Greg Dixon; and his siblings, Charles Curtis Dixon, Calvin Delano Dixon, James Herbert Dixon and Cleda Lorene West.

He is survived by: his children, Blake Dixon of Abingdon, VA, Beverly Dixon of Abingdon, VA and Robin Rose (Jeff) of Lebanon, VA; his daughter-in-law Jane Dixon of Nicholasville, KY; and his sister Helen Ringley (Cas). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
