He was predeceased by: his father Marvin R. Smith, Sr.; and his brother Marvin R. Smith, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Lorell Nix Dukes; his wife Yong Sung Smith; his sons, James Smith (Adrianna) and Ronald Smith (Heather); his grandchildren, Peyton, Aubrien, Marcus, Sebastian and Madison; his sisters, Melinda Wickham (Al), Pam Baker (Larry) and Jean Smith; and his sister-in-law Sharon Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
