He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Murphy and Rose Alma Estes Murphy; his spouse Genevee Vest "Peachy" Murphy; and his brother Billy Ray Murphy. He is survived by: his sister Judy Murphy; his niece Misty Murphy; and his great-nephews, Christopher Shanks, Brian Shanks and Jacob Riddell.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens (4915 Harrodsburg Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
