He was predeceased by: his parents, Dora Short and Matthew Short; his siblings, Helen Terry, Rosemary Short, Delcie Bowling, Ance Short, Ollie Short, JB Short, John Short and Dean Short; and his grandson Keith Ryan.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Short; his daughter Angela McNair (Wayne) of Owenton Kentucky; his pet Rocky of Newport, Kentucky.; his great grandchildren, Finley, Elena, James Jeremiah, Ryan, Grayson, Jayden, Brayden and Axton; his siblings, Amanda Johnson (PJ) of Richmond, Bob Short (Ina) of Taylor Mill, Susie Smith (Buck) of Jackson Kentucky and Fannie Short of Tennessee; and his brother-in-law Bruce Mann of Puxico, Missouri.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
