He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Robert; his brother Austin Velten; and his father Dean of Students. He was also cherished by his nephews, nieces, and great-nephews.

Early this morning, our confrere, Father Robert, died peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
