It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melody Sydnor Thacker of Newport, Kentucky, born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 30, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sydnor and Norma Sydnor; and her grandparents, Carl, Beatrice Hardin and Katie Spare.

She is survived by: her children, Adam Thacker (Ashley), Shaun Thacker (Whitney), Amanda Turner (Jason) and Tanya Prewitt; and her brother Gregory Sydnor (Sonja). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
