He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schaber and Martha; his daughter Brenda Schaber-Maxstadt; his siblings, Bill, Hank Schaber and Jean Hater; and his granddaughter Nichole Blaine-Ogden.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Schaber (Kathy), Laura Schaber (Randall Reese) and Susan Blaine-McCool (Gary); his grandchildren, Tonya Patelo, Stephanie Massey, Erik Schaber and Jeremey West; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Zach Patelo, Addison, Averi Massey, Morgan Schaber and Emma West.
