She was predeceased by: her son Kirt D. Lee; her parents, Bess Raleigh and Elbert Raleigh Sr.; and her siblings, Elbert Raleigh Jr., Ross Morell Raleigh, Nancy Young and Janet Raleigh.

She is survived by: her husband Roger Petersen; her daughter Bobbie-Jean Lee of Newport; her grandchildren, Armina Wayman of Newport, Galen Paul Kidwell II (Amber) of Southgate, Cameron Jonathan Kidwell (Madeleine) of Cold Spring and Linden Vincent Kidwell (Autumn) of Highland Heights; and her sisters, Linda Carol Raleigh (Jerry Boggs) of Taylor Mill and Barbara Jane Goines (Ben Goines Sr.) of Newport. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fares J. Radel Funeral Home-Newport (822 York St, Newport, KY 41071). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
