He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Jean Cecil Mattingly; and his children, George "Tiny" Mattingly (Catsy) of New Hope, Ronnie Mattingly (Tammy) of New Hope, Mark Mattingly (Shelia) of Bardstown, Debra Newton (Ernie) of Loretto, Marilyn Newton (Johnny) of Loretto, Donna Stevens (David) of Bardstown, Jane Lyvers of Holy Cross, Anita Hagan (Hank) of Springfield and Pam Mattingly of New Hope. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two sisters; and one brother.
