He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Alphonsus Morris, Sr. and Wilhelmina Gilkey Morris; and his sisters, Margie Bozarth and Martha Medley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Drury Morris; his children, Carrie Morris Morgeson of Louisville, Amy Korfhage (Eric) of Louisville and Bob Morris (Alison) of Bardstown; his grandchildren, Matthew, Maddie, Emma and Ryan; his stepchildren, Tony Hornback (Dana) of Arkansas and Carol Sue Wohlgamuth (Scott) of Cocoa Beach, Florida; and his siblings, Kenny Morris of Hodgenville, Libby Palmer of Louisville, Mary Moczulski (Ted) of Louisville and Agnes Mattingly (Tommy) of New Hope. He is also survived by four step grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mattingly Funeral Home (195 Holy Cross Rd, Loretto, KY 40037). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (104 Church Street (New Hope), New Hope, KY 40052).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
