He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ernest and Anna Belle Riggs Newton; his children, Leona Newton, Linda Fay Newton, Connie Sue Newton, Barbara Sapp, Joseph, Louis and Timothy Wade Newton; his grandsons, Brian Newton and Anthony Wade Newton; his great grandchild Jacob Culver; and his siblings, Essie Riggs, Ella Mattingly, Gladys Hardin, Louise Blanford, Lucille Simpson, Mary Belle Muncy, Albert Newton and Edgar Newton.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Ayers (Michael) of Bardstown, Wanda Brooks (Bennie) of Bardstown, Phyllis Nalley (Charlie) of Bardstown, Margie Tucker (Jerry) of New Haven, Doris Jo Bowling (Gerry) of Georgetown, Jimmy Newton (Sharon) of New Haven and Stevie Newton (Tammy) of Bardstown; and his stepchildren, Clyde Brown (Barbara), Philip Brown (Betty), Wanda Hill and Kathy Riggs. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
