He is survived by: his wife Jane Colgate Ellis of New Haven; his children, Mark Ellis (Denise) of Brandenburg, Jeffrey Ellis (Valerie) of Grovetown, Jerry Ellis Jr (Alisah), Michael Meredith (Angela) of Bardstown and Theresa Dawson of Brandenburg; his brothers, George Ellis (Carol) of Louisville and Darvin Ellis of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Brian, Cindy, Kirstn, Justin Jonathan, Jenna, Zachary, Ethan and Evan. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
