She was predeceased by: her husband Darrell Mitchell; and her brother W. T. Patterson. She is survived by: her parents, William Taft and Louise Oliver Patterson; her daughter Darra Mitchell Benson of Murray; her grandchildren, Lauren Rojas (Hector) of Murray and Will Benson of Murray; her sister-in-law Linda Patterson of Panama City, FL; her nieces and nephews, Paige Pope (Tim) of Nashville and Dr. Payton Patterson (Kristy) of Panama City, FL; her cousin Sue Adams of Murray; her friend Molly Imes; and her caregiver Shanna "Anna" Parrish Neely. She is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Murray City Cemetery.
In order to continue her love for others and to ease the financial burden of advancing a child's education, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Peggy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o the Murray Bank, P.O. Box 1300, Murray, Kentucky.
