It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Elizabeth Spurr (New Castle, Kentucky), who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Dixon and Mary Dixon (Jennings); her husband Doe Spurr; her sons, Noah Thomas Spurr, Elmer Lee Spurr Jr. and James David Spurr; her grandson Joey Spurr; her siblings, Hallie Summitt, Lester Dixon, Mary Bruner, Buddy Dixon, Rachel Gill, Ruth Chisholm, Joe Dixon and Ed Dixon; and her daughter-in-law Carol Spurr.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Ann DeBruhl; her grandchildren, Kevin Spurr, Michael Lester, Patrick Spurr, DJ DeBruhl, Darrell James, Dustin DeBruhl, Tracy Matthews, Amy Spurr, Sara Spurr, Bruce Paro, Carrie Byrd, Richard Byrd and Mabel Spurr; her daughter-in-law Donna Spurr; and her pet Jarvis. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
