He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Ellis and Mildred Ellis (Payton); and his siblings, Joyce Brown, Ronald and David Ellis.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa Jane Ellis of New Castle; his sons, Curtis Ellis of Pikeville and Michael Ellis (Christina) of New Castle; and his brother Bobby Ellis (Billie) of Pleasureville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Prewitt Funeral Home towards funeral expenses.
