He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elmer and Laura Edna Staples (Brooks); his wife Marilyn Kay Staples (Louden); and his brother Richard Staples. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Cisneros of Campbellsburg and David Staples of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Amanda Hayes, Miranda Cisneros, Jeffrey and Logan Warren; and his great grandchildren, Kayden, August, Isaac, Hunter, Carter and Dani Kay.
