He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Russell and Edna Riner Hubbard; his wife Martha Abdoo; his daughter Jennie Ann "Quinn" Bowling of Jenkins, Kentucky; his sister Wilma Carter of Gray, Tennessee; his brother-in-law Lloyd "Teresa" Abdoo of Carrollton, Kentucky.; his grandson Ethan Bowling; his siblings, Edward Hubbard, Huilet Hubbard and Mildred Roberson; and his brothers-in-law, Frank Abdoo and Tom Abdoo.
