She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Carter and Sara Ann Carter (Bell); her daughter Brenda Raynell; and her sisters, Doris Harris, Marcelene Bell and Jackie Beasley.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Johnson, Myrna Walton, Sherry Drone of Madisonville, Wavetta Lewis of Easton, TX, Samuel H. Kirkwood Jr. of Nortonville, Ronnie Kirkwood (Cecelia) of Sturgis, KY, Kenneth Kirkwood (Cheryl), Mildenhall Air Force Base, Suffolk and England; and her siblings, Shirley Burks, Lendola Minor of Indianapolis, IN, Linda Steppe of Madisonville, KY, Robert R. Carter, Sr. of Madisonville, KY and Arneuwell Benifield Jr. (Doris) of Stone Mountain, GA. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
