It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rufus Glen Beard of Nancy, Kentucky, born in Manchester, Kentucky, who passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Beard and Mary Geneva Brewer Beard; his brother David Beard; his grandson Scottie Maxey; and his siblings, Hobert Beard, Jeanette Beard and Cora Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Beard; his children, Rufus Glen Beard, Jr. (Donna) of Somerset, Kelly Bryant of Whitley City, Lucy Coffey (John) of Somerset and Freda Maxey (Gary) of Whitley City; his grandson David Wayne Beard; his adoptive daughter Emily Worley (Danny); and his siblings, Claude Beard of Nancy, Conley Beard (Linda) and Lillie Caudill (Henry) of Beattyville, KY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
