He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna M. Stewart and Walter Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Archer Stewart; his sons, Robert Stewart (Marilyn), Professor of Philosophy, Theology, Don Stewart (Janie), Intelligence and Core Civic of Springfield; his grandchildren, Raymond Blaine Stewart, Bethany Stewart Neal (Paul), Rebekah Stewart Melendez (Mario), Julia Stewart and Sarah Stewart Brunson; and his great grandchildren, Thomas Wyble and Noella Neal.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention or to Gideons International.
