He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Clara Smith; and his siblings, Jimmy Smith and Shirley Gifford. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jane Smith of LaCenter, KY; his daughter Rebecca Leath (Adam); his stepdaughter Tammy Fick (Ronnie) of Gage, KY; and his grandchild Abigale "Abby" Leath. He is also survived by several nieces and one nephew.
