He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Starnes and Alma Starnes; his wife Nancy Carol Starnes; his children, Ross Starnes and Jackie Lynn Starnes; and his siblings, Ralph Starnes and Mallie Starnes.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Starnes Huff (Kenny) and China Starnes Davis (Bobby); his siblings, Lucille Gross, Cecil Starnes, Margaret Silkey and Johnny Starnes; and his grandchildren, Christy Bleemel, Scottie Weber, Jeremy Starnes, Madeline Starnes Bermudec, Kenneth Huff, Jr., Michael Huff and Crystal Adcock. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
