He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Earl Burkett and Versie M. Cain Burkett; his wife Sharon Sue Wilson Burkett; his daughters, Denna Traci Lane and Stacey Nicole Burkett; and his siblings, Dewey Everett Burkett, Huey Lee Burkett and Pearly L. Burkett.
He is survived by: his daughter Karyn Baron of Nancy; his significant other Margie Thompson of Nancy; and his grandchildren, Christopher Leighton Sturgeon and Taylor Paige Lane. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
