He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simpson and Earl Francis Light; his wife Charlotte Faye Flynn Simpson; his sisters, Edith Wilson (Dolphus), Anna Cook (Leonard) and Geneva Tarter (Adrian); his brother-in-law Erwin Tarter; his nephew Jerry Cook; and his niece Jean Smith.
He is survived by: his son Scott Simpson (Patti) of Somerset; his sister Alfreda Tarter of Somerset; his grandchildren, Chase Neal and Brittany Neal; his great grandchildren, Brendon Casada and Boothe Fitzgerald; his nieces and nephews, Gary Cook, Wayne Wilson, David Wilson, Jan Stringer, Trudy Denham and Nathan Buchanan; and his friend Alfreda.
