He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe McGowan and Evada Wilson McGowan; and his siblings, William Ertis McGowan, Wendell Wesley McGowan and Geneve Darlene Lyons.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kay McGowan; his sons, Mat McGowan (Tina) of Cincinnati, OH and Jim McGowan (Kathy) of Glasgow, KY; his siblings, Arvis Keith Flanagan (Linda) of Nancy, KY, Clyde Molen (Omeida) of Somerset, Johnny Molen of Colorado, Lewell Molen (Lora) of Tennessee and Mary Lane of Ohio; and his grandchildren, Rachal Kay McGowan, Micah Watson, Clark, Parker McGowan and Clay McGowan.
