She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Butler and Ola Mae Goheen Butler; her husband James Daily Stroud "Dood"; her sisters, Dorothy Cope and Betty Sue Mohundro-Blagg; and her son-in-law David Gargus.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Swieter of Georgetown, TX and Rita Gargus of Hopkinsville, KY; her sister Rose Herdman of Clarksville, TN; her grandchildren, Mitzi Carpenter, Jennifer Hawkins, Tara Fiese and Brian Gargus; her great grandchildren, Curtis, Joey, Gabe, Deahveon, Brion and Brianna; and her great great grandchild Eleanor.
