He was predeceased by: his daughters, Felixia Ann Higgins and Christy Colson; and his brother-in-law Robert E. "Bob" Shank, III. He is survived by: his parents, John Thomas Higgins and Janice Lassiter Morris; his children, Christina LuAnn Higgins, Michael Higgins, George "Trey" O'Neal and David O'Neal; his sisters, Perneica Goodwin (Jeff) and Katrina Gallops (Michael); and his son-in-law Terry Colson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
