She was predeceased by: her parents, Brooks Everett and Effie Helen Taylor Walton; her husband James Rupert Emerson; her daughter Linda Smith; her son-in-law Dr. Henry Smith; her granddaughter Sherry Smith; and her brother John Walton.
She is survived by: her sons, Jim Emerson (Debbie) of Ft. Worth and Gary Emerson (Sandee) of Lebanon, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Janet Bonham (Mike), Carol DeWitt (Chris) of Kentucky, Michael Emerson (Michelle), Dave Emerson (Alycia) of Texas, Matt Emerson and Brad Emerson of Tennessee. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous extended family.
