He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Marcelle Langston Lassiter; and his daughter Sylvia Kaye Lassiter. He is survived by: his sister Ruth Ann Lassiter McClure (Max); his children, Tannis Lassiter (Timothy), Sans Lassiter (Roberta), Nils Lassiter, Sven Lassiter and Bianca McBride (Gary); and his grandchildren, David Lachowsky, Lauren Epstein, Jesse R. Lassiter, Lucas Lassiter, Timothy Lassiter, Adam Lassiter Carrera, Alana Beard, Tanise Nester, Chelsea Smith, Wally Bullard, IV and Jesse Bullard. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in his memory to Hazel Baptist Church, Hazel, KY.
