Richard R. Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2021, at the age of 87, Richard R. Smith of Murray, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Gaydara Lynn Smith; his parents, Boone Dawson and Mary McKeel Smith; and his brother Rob E. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Norma Sue Carnal Smith of Slaughters, KY; his sons, Terry K. Smith (Cheryl) of Centerville, OH and David M. Smith of Murray; his grandchildren, Joe Staley of Berkeley, CA, Mark Wells (Chelsea) of Murray, Matthew Wells of Murray, Taylor Smith of Homer, AK and Grant Smith of Kettering, OH; and his sister-in-law Judy Wood of Owensboro, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations to New Pathways for Children in Melber, KY, online @ npfc.net, or to the 12-step Recovery Program at the University Church of Christ, 801 N 12th Street, Murray, KY 42071, (payable to University Church of Christ).
