He is survived by: his wife Cherie Atkins of Murray; his children, Jerry Atkins (Kathy) of Marshall County, Tommy Atkins (Becky) of Murray and Kerie Sturm (Pete) of Paducah; his stepson Eric Schmidt (Mary Anne) of Owensboro; and his siblings, Bobby Atkins of Murray, Ricky Atkins of Cottage Grove, TN, Nancy Parker of Lexington and Nita Galloway of Louisville.
