He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clendenen and Elsie Davis Clendenen; and his siblings, Rick Clendenen, Bill Clendenen, Jean Barger, Shirley Dick, Nancy Maggard, Sondra Clendenen, Alice Clendenen and Brenda Rigney.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Clendenen of Murray; his children, James Gregory Clendenen and Angie Smith of Elizabethtown; his siblings, Butch Clendenen of Madisonville, Tom Clendenen (Carol) of Murray and Becky Highfield of Middlesboro, KY; his grandchildren, LeAnn Lamb, Cody Smith, John Gregory, Shayla Gregory, Drew Gregory, Bryce Clendenen, McKenzie Clendenen and Maddie Clendenen; and his great grandchildren, Roman Lamb, Zeke Lamb and Grayson Smith.
