He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Clifton and Nell Jewell Bugg; and his brother Bobby Bugg. He is survived by: his wife Coralyn Stayton Bugg; his daughters, Jennifer VanWaes (Dan) of Murray and Melinda Paul of Murray; and his grandchildren, Clifton, Laine VanWaes of Murray, Jacob Paul of Virginia and Benjamin Paul of Sebree, KY..
