She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Smith and Ella Bushart Smith; her husband Thomas C. Cohoon; her children, Betty Lou Hughes and Willie Stamps; and her siblings, Katie Irene Joseph, Amy Odell Barnett, Virginia Ruth Rhodes, Annis Marie Parrish, Ross Brown Smith, Walter Coy Smith and William Cletus Smith. She is also survived by six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
