He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rudolph Thurman, Sr. and Mary Euple Thurman (Outland); his former wife Elsie Thurman (Love); his son James Craig Thurman; and his sisters, Mary Virginia Thurman, Euva Nell Thurman Gibbs and Betty Thurman Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Colson Thurman (Sirls) of Murray; his son Ashley Thurman (Pam) of Paducah; his grandson Curt Thurman of Murray; and his stepgrandchildren, David Loftin of Bluffton, SC, Heather Wadley of Paducah, KY and Bethany Loftin of Leesburg, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (713 S 4th St, Murray, KY 42071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
