We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2020, at the age of 104, Bessie Jane Allen of Murray, Kentucky, born in Natchitoches, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David Dowden, Sr. and Martha Sedonia Dowden (Alexander); her husband William Ray "W. R."; her children, William David Allen, Sr. and Mildred J; her grandson William David Allen, Jr.; and her siblings, Grant Dowden, Charlie Dowden, James Lynn Dowden, Milton C. Dowden, David Dowden, Jr. and Minnie Dowden Moseley.

She is survived by: her son Jerry R. Allen (Diana) of Florida. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
