He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Chelf and Nellie Ard Chelf; and his brother Carl P. "Phil" Chelf. He is survived by: his wife Penny Chelf; his children, Wendy Leigh Martinez (Victor) and Larry Scott Chelf (Sylvia); his grandchildren, Vanessa Chelf, William Alexander Chelf (Vianey) and Lucas Wood; his aunts, Evelyn Garrison, Anna Skidmore and Odell Hawkins; his uncle Harold Ard; his siblings-in-law, Earlene Chelf, Pamela Bickel (Terry) and Dwight Kendal; his nephew David Chelf (Colette); and his niece Jennifer Shockley.
