It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Earl Rice of Munfordville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Howard and Hattie Rice; his wife Linda Barnett Rice; and his siblings, Wilma Maxey, Melvin Rice and Johnny "Butchie" Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Bradley (Bruce) of Rowletts, KY, James Lamont Rice and Eric Rice (Radida) of Munfordville, KY; his grandson Jermaine Rice of Louisville, KY; his siblings, Mary Sue Brodie (Henry) of Elizabethtown, KY, Rowena Bostick (Robert) of Munfordville, KY, Janice Rice of Munfordville, KY, Phyllis Rice Clark of Glasgow, KY, JoAnn Twyman of Indianapolis, IN, Aileen Foster (Ronald) of Spring, Texas, Floyd Child of Los Angeles, Willie Rice (Pete) of Louisville, KY, Eugene Rice (Terri) of Louisville, KY and Mitchell Rice of Central City, KY; his grandchildren, Jaden, Cameron, Raderic, A'Ryiah, Julia, Monique, Jalescia and Brice; and his great grandchildren, Ralen, Bryleigh, Miya and Rashod. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brooks Funeral Home (50 Main St, Munfordville, KY 42765). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
