He is survived by: his children, Richard Anthony "Tony" Whelan (Janet), David Whelan and Donna Whelan; his grandchildren, Megan, Aubrey, Kathryn, Sumer, Damon and Keane; his great grandchild Maverick; and his siblings, Joseph "Jay" Whelan, Nadine Kaelin and Sharon Whelan. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
