He was predeceased by: his father John Ernst; and his brother Steve Ernst. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Ernst; his mother Alma Kruse; his children, Jennifer Lewter and Troy Ernst (Jessica); his sisters, Susan Graybeal (Gerald) and Linda Funk (Steve); his sister-in-law Margie Ernst; and his grandsons, Jacob and Tyler Ernst.
