She was predeceased by: her parents, V. K. Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith; her husband Leonard Laswell; her son Michael Laswell; and her siblings, Vurgial Smith and Hallie Burgin.

She is survived by: her brothers, B. D. (Wanda Mae) and Ronald Smith (Renee). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Mt. Washington.
