He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Middleton and Geneva Middleton; and his siblings, William "Cat" Middleton, Geraldine Ewton, Margaret Capps, Clay Middleton, Jr., June Rose, Courtland Middleton, Henry Middleton, Ann Hottendorf and Danny Middleton.

He is survived by: his children, Connie Tyler (Ron), Robert Middleton (Lea) and Sarah Carter (Eric); his siblings, Freddie Middleton and Norris Middleton; and his significant other Rosemary Stockham. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to, Wounded Warriors.
