He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Carney Sr. and Dorothy Simpson Carney; and his siblings, Glinda Colwell, Wanda Sanford and Leroy Carney Jr. "Sonny".
He is survived by: his wife Patty Beach Carney; his children, Joseph Carney (Hope), Kim Dillard (Josh) and Bobby Carney (Nicki); his grandchildren, Kyle, Hayley, Jenna, Bradley, Heaven, Nicholas, Lynk, Liam and Max; his great grandchildren, Braxton and Anakin; and his siblings, Genean Reece (Leonard) and Glenn Carney (Janet). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
