He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Milburn Sanders and Virgie Durrett; his wife Debbie Durrett; his sons, Michael Durrett and Timmy Durrett; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Meghan and Savannah; and his siblings, Cheryl Sanders and Terry Durrett. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews; plus, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel (8519 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40219). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Heady Memorial Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home - Okolona Chapel (8519 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40219).
