He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Abney and Naomi Cameron Abney; and his grandson Brandon Abney. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Vanwinkle Abney; his sons, Bobby Lee Abney (Melisa) of Lexington and Gary Lee Abney of Mt. Vernon; his grandchildren, Angel Abney, Robert Scott Abney of Lexington, Hannah Abney of Irvine and Haley Abney of Mt. Vernon; his great grandchildren, Hudson of Lexington and Merida of Lexington; his sister Sue McFerron (Prestle) of Mainville, OH.; and his cousin Shirley Burdine. He is also survived by other cousins and friends.
