He was predeceased by: his parents, Wolfgang W. Schmitter and Dorothy Schmitter; and his brothers, Ronald, Dennis, John and David Schmitter.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Schmitter (Kirby); his children, Lori Price of Somerset, Travis Schmitter of Danville, Eliza Barnett of Mt Vernon, Bobby Kirby of Mt Vernon and Glenna Isaacs of Jackson Co; and his grandchildren, Jakob, Bradley Fisher, Keaton Loveless, Callie, Sophia Schmitter, Dakota, Makinlee Kirby, Dustin, Chelsea Barnett, Andrew and Blake Issacs.
