With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Jean Hale of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 92. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Norma Jean find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anderson and Etta Olive Abney Reese; and her children, Jimmy and Beverly. She is survived by: her children, John Hale (Nancy) of Mt. Vernon, Anita Todd (Roy) of Scaffold Cane and Jeanette Kendrick (Lee) of Lexington; and her sister-in-law Mildred Reese. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home (365 W Main St, Mt Vernon, KY 40456).
