He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Gullett and Anna Lee Aldridge Gullett; and his brother Harold Gullett. He is survived by: his close friend Melissa Cope; his children, Tabatha Miller (Eugene) of Irvine, Lawrence Gullett (Allyssia) of Mt. Vernon, Christopher Lee Gullett (Elizabeth) of Richmond, Terry Gullett of Richmond and Jerry Gullett of Richmond; and his siblings, Paul Gullett of Richmond, J. B. Gullett of Richmond, Rosie Evans of Richmond, Mary Ruth Bulyeau of Richmond, Barbara Isaacs of Richmond, Linda Lamb of Richmond, Wanda Gooch of Richmond, Teresa Marshall of Richmond, Norma Morgan of Ohio, Carolyn Moore of Ohio and Charlotte Gooch of Berea. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
